Search Consultancy LTD is recruiting a Waking Night Residential Support Worker for a brand-new 3-bed children’s home in Sale. You will join the night team, providing care and reassurance to young people overnight, ensuring safety and a calm, nurturing environment.

The role follows trauma-informed approaches with emphasis on safeguarding and a strong senior leadership structure. Training opportunities, including a fully funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ/Level 3 qualification is not essential, although desirable.
• Previous experience with children or young people in residential care or similar environments is desirable.

Job description

A brand-new 3-bed residential children's home in Sale is looking for a dedicated Waking Night Residential Support Worker to join the team.

This is an opportunity to join a new service from the beginning and play an important role in creating a safe, stable and supportive environment for young people.

The Role

Working as part of the night team, you will be responsible for supporting the young people throughout the night, ensuring they are safe, settled and appropriately supported.

The home follows a trauma-informed approach, drawing on:

• Attachment theory
• PACE
• NVR strategies
• Positive and consistent behaviour support

You will need to be confident working independently overnight while knowing when to escape concerns to management and follow agreed procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing support and reassurance to young people throughout the night
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Responding appropriately to any concerns or incidentsSupporting young people who may wake during the night
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments

• Following the home's policies, procedures and therapeutic approaches

About You

An NVQ/Level 3 qualification is not essential, although it would be desirable.

Previous experience working with children or young people is also desirable, particularly within residential childcare, care, education or another relevant support environment.

Training & Development

Waking Nights: 11:00pm-7:00am

£16.00 per hour
