Commercial Procurement Support Officer | Barts Health NHS Trust

The Commercial Procurement Support Officer role will support the Commercial Procurement Business Manager and support all teams within the Commercial Procurement Services function and Trust with the efficient and effective management of all Commercial Procurement activities across all BHRUT sites and across North East London (NEL).

The role will specifically provide general administrative support, project support and operational site based support across the entire Commercial Procurement Services function, and secretarial support to the Director of Commercial Procurement Services, including inbox and diary management, in the absence of the Commercial Procurement Business Manager.

This role will also involve working across all Trust and/or NEL based site-based sites (as requirements dictate and emerge) in support of all commercial procurement deliverables and activities, projects, programmes and service outcomes. Additionally, this role will work collaboratively in a matrix structure on a project and programme specific basis, as both a supportive team member, as directed by the Director of Commercial Procurement Services or the Commercial Procurement Business Manager.

To support the Director of Commercial Procurement Services, Commercial Procurement Business Manager and the wider Commercial Procurement Services Senior Management team, to deliver all Commercial Procurement Services related administrative and operational activities, projects and programmes in accordance with the Trust’s values, aims and objectives.

Support the Director of Commercial Procurement Services, Commercial Procurement Business Manager and the wider Commercial Procurement Services Senior Management team to manage all required outputs across the Trust and NEL, including supporting all administrative, secretarial and projects/programmes initiatives across the spectrum of Commercial Procurement Services.

This role will also support the Director of Commercial Procurement Services and Commercial Procurement Business Manager by using Trust accredited VMI/lean principles to remove waste and defects and to ensure that continuous improvement practices are embedded. The post holder will also be required to achieve any internal/ external VMI/Prideway/lean principles training, or an equivalent apprenticeship programme, appropriate to the role and grade, to support the delivery of efficient and effective outcomes.
