Job summary

Marie Curie in Cornwall is seeking a committed Healthcare Assistant (Nights) to provide end-of-life care in patients' homes across West, East or Central Cornwall. The role is permanent part-time (18, 27 or 36 hours) with 10:00pm to 7:00am shifts.

You will deliver compassionate, person-centred care, support comfort, dignity and wellbeing overnight, monitor changes, follow care plans and collaborate with the clinical team. A driving licence and NVQ2 are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is required.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance will be needed.
• Excellent communication and a compassionate approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in patients' homes.
• Support comfort, dignity and wellbeing throughout the night.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Follow personalised care plans and work closely with the wider clinical team.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients and those important to them.

Healthcare Assistant (Nights) - Community End of Life Care - Cornwall

Role: End of Life Care Healthcare Assistant (Band 2) Hours: 10:00pm to 7:00am night shifts Contract: Permanent, part-time (18, 27 or 36 hours available) Salary: OIRO £35,633.52 per annum pro rata (based on AFC Band 2 base salary £25,272 per annum plus enhancements for weekday and Saturday night working) plus additional enhancements for Sundays & Public Holidays Bonus: You will receive a signing-on bonus of £750 payable upon completion of 6 months service. Location: West East or Central Cornwall Working Area: You'll work within approximately 25 miles of your home address, supporting patients within your local community.
