Job summary

The Olive Branch Care Services is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality, child-centred care for children and young people living in a residential home in Peacehaven. You will help ensure their safety, wellbeing and development, building trusting relationships and supporting holistic growth.

An enhanced DBS check and safeguarding checks will be required, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing and homely environment.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support children’s emotional, social, educational and physical development.
• Safeguard children and follow all child protection policies and procedures.
• Promote positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches and consistent boundaries.
• Support daily routines, personal care and independence skills.
• Maintain accurate records, complete reports and communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals.
• Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and the home’s policies and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes for children.
