Job summary

Lords Group Trading Plc is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for the Moulton Park branch. This fast-paced role supports customers, suppliers and colleagues to keep operations moving safely.

You will operate a forklift, assist on site, and help with stock management in a long‑standing family business within the Lords Group. Hours are 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with a discretionary bonus and long‑term security.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift.
• Experience in a builders' merchant environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a forklift to pick, load and unload vehicles.
• Assisting customers, suppliers and delivery drivers on site.
• Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials.
• Occasionally making deliveries in a 3.5t dropside vehicle.
• Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe, with high standards of presentation.
• Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues.
• Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns.
• Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation.
