Job summary

Hevey Building Supplies Limited is seeking a Forklift Truck Driver for our Moulton Park yard. This hands-on role requires safe forklift operation, assisting customers and deliveries, and maintaining a tidy, efficient yard environment.

The position offers a full-time, day shift with discretionary bonus potential and holiday entitlement within a long-established family-run business that is part of the Lords Group.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence and experience operating a forklift.
• Experience working in a builders’ merchant environment is preferred.
• Full, clean driving licence and good safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a forklift to pick, load and unload vehicles.
• Assisting customers, suppliers and delivery drivers on site.
• Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials.
• Occasionally making deliveries in a 3.5t dropside vehicle.
• Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe, with high standards of presentation.
• Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues.
• Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns.
• Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation.
