Job summary

Shaw Healthcare's Plas Cae Crwn Care Home in Newtown is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide person-centred care to elderly residents across residential, respite and dementia care. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

You will work 36 or 42 hour contracts on shift patterns, with roles focusing on dignity, inclusion and teamwork in a 24-hour care environment.

Plas Cae Crwn provides 24-hour care and support to elderly residents with various needs, including residential, respite, and dementia care. The home offers spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities, all decorated to a high standard and equipped with the latest assistive technology to enhance residents' safety and wellbeing. There are several communal areas, including a comfortable lounge, dining room, and quiet spaces for relaxation and socialisation. The outdoor area features beautifully landscaped gardens with seating areas, where residents can enjoy the fresh air and scenic views.

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for promoting physical and emotional support to our lovely service users. The will include, but not limited to:

Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan

Offering personal care, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing and hygiene

Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents

Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion
