Job summary

Bramble Homecare Limited is seeking kind, reliable and caring people to join our family-run team in and around Cinderford. You’ll support people in their own homes, with comprehensive training available for those new to care.

We offer two types of community care work: block work paid for every hour of your allocated block andFramework work at £15.80 per hour, plus mileage. Full-time, part-time and bank opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; training and support provided.
• Kind, reliable and caring people who enjoy helping others.
• Able to work in people’s homes across Cinderford and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in their own homes to help them stay safe, comfortable and independent.
• Assist with washing and dressing, meals, medication or personal care, companionship.
• Support day-to-day activities and provide a friendly, reassuring presence.

Bramble Homecare is looking for kind, reliable and caring people to join our team supporting people in their own homes across Cinderford and the surrounding areas.

No previous care experience? No problem. If you have the right attitude and genuinely enjoy helping people, we’ll provide the training and support you need.

We offer two different types of community care work:

With block work, you are paid for every hour of your allocated block – not just the time you spend inside clients’ homes.

For example, if you’re allocated a 7am–2pm block, you’re paid for all 7 hours, including the time travelling between your scheduled care visits.

Block lengths can vary depending on the care required. For example, a block may be 7am–12pm, 7am–1pm or 7am–2pm, but you are paid for every hour of the block you are allocated and work.

Framework care is paid at £15.80 per hour for the time you spend providing care to clients (contact time).

You’ll also receive 35p per mile mileage allowance.

The £14.25 and £15.80 rates are different ways of working – they are NOT weekday and weekend rates.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll visit people in their own homes and help them remain safe, comfortable and independent.

Your day could include supporting someone to get washed and dressed, preparing meals, helping with medication or personal care, providing companionship, or simply having a cup of tea and a chat.

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference to someone’s day.
