Job summary

Aquacare, part of Pennon Group, is recruiting a Water Hygiene Technician to cover Bournemouth, Hampshire and the South West. You will conduct Legionella control and water hygiene tasks across various customer sites, ensuring systems stay compliant, safe and efficient.

Routine monitoring, sampling, temperature checks, and servicing TMVs will be part of your role, with a focus on building strong customer relationships and maintaining high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in water hygiene monitoring and Legionella control.
• Ability to perform temperature checks, flushing and water sampling.
• Strong record-keeping across multiple customer sites.
• Good communication and customer relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine water hygiene monitoring including temperature checks, flushing programmes and water sampling
• Maintain accurate records and documentation across customer sites
• Perform cleaning and disinfection of hot and cold water systems and cooling systems
• Carry out TMV servicing, maintenance and showerhead servicing
• Investigate and troubleshoot water hygiene issues and implement corrective actions to achieve first-time fix
• Work with scheduling team to plan, complete and record jobs using mobile tech
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues and meet contractual requirements
• Escalate missed tasks, compliance concerns and site issues promptly and professionally

About the Role:

As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will carry out a wide range of Legionella control and water hygiene tasks across customer sites, ensuring systems remain compliant, safe, and operating effectively.

Working across a variety of commercial premises, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake routine water hygiene monitoring, including temperature checks, flushing programmes, and water sampling
• Maintain accurate records and documentation across customer sites
• Perform cleaning and disinfection of hot and cold water systems and cooling systems
• Carry out TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) servicing, maintenance, and showerhead servicing
• Investigate and troubleshoot water hygiene issues on customer sites, implementing corrective actions wherever possible to achieve a first-time fix
• Work closely with the scheduling team to ensure jobs are effectively planned, completed, and recorded using mobile technology
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, ensuring all contractual requirements are delivered to a high standard
• Escalate missed tasks, compliance concerns, and site issues promptly and professionally
