Job summary

Great Totham Primary School in Maldon is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join Year 5 for five mornings a week (15 hours). The role starts Autumn 2026 and offers a welcoming, well-resourced environment.

The successful candidate should be patient, supportive and capable of working closely with class teachers to support learning and pupil welfare. Experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred; English and maths qualifications are valued, and NVQ level 3 or equivalent is an advantage.

Great Totham Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our Year 5 team for five mornings a week equating to 15 hours.

The post is to start as soon as possible in Autumn 2026

• Ideally be an experienced Teaching Assistant

• Have a calm and positive outlook

In addition, it will be an advantage, but not essential, if:

• You have NVQ level 3 or equivalent
