Medacs Healthcare is recruiting a Consultant in Diabetes to deliver safe, high‑quality diabetes services across outpatient and inpatient settings. This locum role requires at least six months of recent NHS experience and the ability to adapt quickly to NHS systems and MDT working.
You will maintain clinical excellence, support service delivery and contribute to ongoing diabetes service development and education within the department.
The role will involve responsibility for a ward of up to 22 beds, in addition to managing up to 10 outlier patients in collaboration with another consultant.
There will also be an expectation to run up to two general endocrine clinics, alongside allocated SPA and administrative time.

You're a GMC‑registered Consultant with strong experience in diabetes care. You work confidently within multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and are committed to evidence‑based practice, patient safety and continuous improvement.
You're comfortable managing complex diabetes cases and contributing to clinical leadership within the department.
