Job summary

Tesco is hiring at our stores across the UK. You will help customers with a friendly, proactive service approach, assist with shelves, checkouts, and online order picking, and support overall store performance. We offer flexible hours starting from 12–16 hours per week and a range of benefits.

Colleague pay starts at £13.28 per hour, rising to £14.55 in M25 stores, with additional payments possible in some locations. A minimum of 16 hours per week is guaranteed, with shifts scheduled in advance.

Tesco Colleague pay starts at £13.28 per hour, rising to £14.55 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. You will be responsible for

• Providing friendly, natural service and getting to know your customers.
• Being confident with our products and services and offering help when needed.
• Providing flexible support across the store, including shelf replenishment, checkout service, online order picking, occasional delivery assistance, and general service and replenishment duties.
• Making customer focused decisions and completing key store routines.
• Understanding how your role supports great service, strong sales, waste reduction and overall store performance.

You will need

• A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
• To build rapport so customers leave having had a great experience.
• To use your initiative and make the right decisions for customers.
• To work well in a team and communicate openly, having fun, and celebrating success.
