Fife Council in Leven is recruiting a Mobile Catering Assistant to support school meal provision on a term-time basis. The role is part-time (12.5 hours per week) across a 38-week contract, based at Buckhaven Primary School.

You will deliver hot or cold meals to nursery pupils, provide friendly customer service, and participate in on-the-job training aimed at achieving a Food Hygiene Certificate; the post offers progression within a supportive local government team.

We currently have a permanent vacancy to join our teams, Monday to Friday as required on a 38-week, term-time contract.

Leven area, base Buckhaven Primary School

12.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a Temporary part-time, 38-week term-time contract

You will earn a competitive salary of £25,604.23 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.64 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Pay is annualised (equal instalments every 4 week pay period).

This work is about providing customer service, ensuring nursery pupils receive hot or cold meals every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference with meal you have served. On the job training is given working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate.
