Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting for a role within a reputed client’s Compliance Team to monitor and assure the effective operation of an Immigration Removal Centre, with real impact on standards and resident welfare. You will support compliance monitoring and assurance checks, review incidents, contribute to audits, and engage with supplier staff and detained residents in a professional, respectful way.

This full-time, office-based role offers 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with shift-based hours

Qualifications

  • Experience in an operational, compliance, assurance or monitoring environment.
  • Confident communication-strong written and verbal skills for clear reporting
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Evidence-based decision-making, with excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and calm under pressure, able to prioritise competing demands
  • Competent across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, including in challenging or sensitive situations

Responsibilities

  • Support compliance monitoring and assurance checks across the establishment
  • Review incidents and analyse operational data to identify trends, risks and improvements
  • Contribute to audits and thematic reviews
  • Engage regularly with supplier staff and detained residents, maintaining respectful and professional relationships
  • Monitor contractual compliance and support the resolution of operational issues
  • Help drive performance reporting, complaints handling, safeguarding activities and operational meetings

Additional information:
  • Full-time: 37 hours,
  • Monday-Friday,
  • 100% office attendance
  • Shift-based working in a 24/7 environment: early, late, mid and occasional night shifts plus weekends/public holidays as required
  • Enhanced DBS, Integrity checks and CTC clearance are required
  • Pay: £25.25 p/h ( This is inclusive of sift allowance )
