Job summary

The Childcare Practitioner role at Fife Council in Kelty is a part-time, on-site, temporary position focused on early years play and development. As a Childcare Practitioner you will be expected to:

Plan, facilitate and supervise a wide range of play-based activities and social experiences both in and outdoors. This will include setting up the play space to ensure it is safe, stimulating and welcoming.

Empower children to lead their own play, guiding them on as needed to boost their creativity and independence.

Support children to prepare healthy snacks in line with dietary and nutritional need and guidelines.

Support and encourage children to build confidence, self-esteem, and lifelong skills through play and exploration.

Deal with accidents and incidents, responding calmly and professional, ensuring children’s health and wellbeing needs are met.
