Job summary

SkyBlue Solutions is seeking a Prison Security Escort in Henley-on-Thames, UK. You will work with the prison service, escorting and overseeing contractors such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians while they carry out maintenance work.

Key responsibilities include verifying contractor IDs, booking in/out, escorting within the prison, overseeing work, and ensuring tools are accounted for. You will pass security vetting and have good communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills are required.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety consciousness.
• Must have lived in the UK for the past 3+ years.
• Able to pass security vetting including references and police checks.

Responsibilities

• Check contractor identifications.
• Book in and out contractors.
• Escort contractors through the prison to their work areas.
• Oversee contractors while work is in progress.
• Ensure tools are accounted for before leaving the site.
• Use radio to request permission for contractor movement.
• Brief contractors on security measures.

Job description

Standard Rate: £13.16 per hour + 33 days holiday pay

Duration: Temporary with the potential to be long term

Typical hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00-17:00

As a Prison Security Escort, you will work alongside the prison service, supporting our client who is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings. You will be a part of security team where you will escort and oversee contractors such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians, whilst they complete their maintenance work.

Duties of a

Prison Security Escort Include (but not limited to)

• Checking the identification of the contractors
• Booking in and out of the contractors
• Escorting contractors through the prison to their place of work
• Overseeing contractors whilst they are working
• Checking contractor tools are all accounted for prior to leaving work area
• Using the radio to request permission to move contractors within the prison
• Checking contractors have been briefed on security measures

About You:

• You will have good communication skills
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Be safety conscious
• Have been living in the UK for the past 3+ years
• Be able to pass security vetting (includes providing references, passing security police checks & providing photo identification)
