Havant Borough Council is seeking an IG Support Officer to assist with information governance, data protection, and access to information compliance. You will work with the Data Protection Officer and Information Governance Officer to support teams and ensure timely responses to information requests.

Havant Borough Council is looking for a resourceful and motivated individual to join us as an IG Support Officer. We are looking
for someone who wants to learn new skills through practical experience in data protection, freedom of information, and information
management.
You will work alongside the council’s Data Protection Officer and Information Governance Officer to support the council’s
compliance with access to information and data protection legislation. You will use your keen eye for accuracy and attention to
detail in all aspects of the role. Your organisation and time management skills will be essential to work with different teams
across the organisation to ensure that information requests are answered fully and promptly. You will also be supporting internal
teams to manage their information safely.

borough councils of Fareham, Gosport and parts of East Hampshire and Winchester district councils to form a new, larger unitary
authority for South East Hampshire.
We are working towards an implementation date of 1 April 2028, known as vesting day, subject to Parliamentary approval. Until
then, we remain focused on maintaining continuity, supporting our workforce, and continuing to deliver excellent services to our
residents throughout the transition to the new unitary authority.
