Job summary

Co-op Group in Brookmans Park is seeking a Customer Team Leader to manage a small store team and maintain service standards while delivering essential services to the community.

You'll lead shifts, support tills, merchandising, stock checks, and HR processes, and ensure strong team performance on fast-paced days.

You’ll be a visible representative of Co-op membership, building relationships with customers and local partners while delivering on community goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or team management is desirable but not essential.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store and lead the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills to support daily operations.
• Support merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.

Location: 37-39 Bradmore Green , Brookmans Park, AL9 7QR

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 39 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, full time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We're happy to discuss your availability further at interview.

Join us as a Customer Team Leader and take the next step toward managing your own store.

As a Customer Team Leader, you'll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve you working in our post office or bakery or supporting online services and our home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.

What you'll do

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift

• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth
