Job summary

Easton Sheet Metal Ltd is seeking a dedicated Welder for a permanent, full-time role at our Harlow site. The role involves MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring weld quality to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding role(s).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and SOPs.
• Competence with MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium.

Responsibilities

• Welds must meet close tolerances as per drawings.
• Inspect welds for quality and consistency.
• Work collaboratively with team to complete parts on time.
• Take on overtime when required to meet production targets.

Easton Sheet Metal Ltd. was established in 1977 and is a leading supplier of subcontract sheet metal work in the United Kingdom.

Requirements

• Have previous experience in a Welding role.
• Have a good understanding of the manufacture of small volume parts to close tolerances
• Be able to read and work from engineering drawings, quality standards and SOPs
• Check quality of work once welds are complete
• Work well within a team
• Enjoy a challenge
• Be punctual and reliable

Job specific experience:

• Be competent with MIG and TIG
• Be able to work with mild, stainless steel and aluminium

Advantageous but not essential experience:

• Have experience working in the Aerospace/Defence sectors

Details:

Job Type: Permanent. Full time.

Standard Working Hours: Basic 39 hour week. Mon-Thurs 8am to 5pm, Fri 8am to 1pm. Overtime available.

Salary: Hourly rate is at least minimum wage and is dependent on experience and ability. Salary paid weekly.
