Job summary

Telappliant Ltd is offering a Finance Apprenticeship in the UK. You will support the Finance team with a range of admin and transactional tasks across the group, learning how financial records are maintained and processed. The programme includes study time for a recognised Finance or Accounting qualification.

You will report to the Management Accountant and gain practical experience while working towards the qualification over approximately 18 months to 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Support processing of purchase invoices, supplier payments and customer invoices.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update finance systems.
  • Support bank and account reconciliations.
  • Process expenses and verify supporting documents.
  • Respond to routine finance queries from colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Assist with payroll administration and checks.
  • Support preparation of financial reports, metrics and management information.
  • Assist with month-end, year-end and audit activities.
  • Support general Finance administration and improvement projects.

This role provides essential support to the day-to-day running of the Finance function. You will deliver administrative and

transactional support across a wide range of finance-related activities and projects, helping to ensure the function operates

efficiently and accurately. Strong numeracy, analytical skills, organisation and attention to detail are critical, as you will be

working with financial data, identifying discrepancies and managing multiple tasks and priorities. You will build strong working

What's your mission?

As a Finance Apprentice, you will gain a full understanding of the finance side of the business. Reporting to the Management

Accountant, you will spend time learning how financial transactions are processed, how records are maintained and how the Finance

team supports the wider business.

You will work towards a recognised Finance or Accounting qualification, with 20% of your working hours dedicated to your studies.

Alongside your practical work experience, this will help you put your learning into practice. The apprenticeship programme

duration is approximately 18 months to 2 years.

This position requires zero experience, and we are happy to consider all kinds of applicants, whether you are a school leaver or

looking for a fresh start to develop a new career path. What is vital is your interest in Finance, confidence with numbers, and

enthusiasm to support the business through the next stages of its development.

You will be responsible for supporting the Finance team with a range of administrative and transactional tasks across the group. I

What do you need?

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • A minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4, or A* to C, including English and Maths
  • A good GCSE grade in Maths
  • A relevant A Level, such as Maths, Economics, Business Studies or Accounting, would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Some experience of using Excel, or a willingness to develop your skills in formulas, spreadsheets and data
  • Confidence using digital tools and an interest in learning more about AI and automation
  • The ability to organise your workload and complete tasks accurately
  • A willingness to ask questions, learn from others and take responsibility for assigned tasks
  • A professional and reliable approach to work
