Tesco is seeking a Shift Leader for the Gosport Superstore to oversee day shifts and drive excellent in-store service. You will lead the team, coordinate across departments, and be the primary point of contact for daily operational queries.

Ideal candidates bring prior team-lead or management experience in fast-paced retail, a strong service mindset, and the ability to inspire an inclusive, high-performing team.

Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

You will be responsible for

Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.

You will need

To be over 18 for this role.

Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.

Build positive, long‑lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.

A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.

A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.
