Job summary

Coate Water Care Co. is seeking Care Assistants to provide person-centred support to residents in a care setting near Gloucester. You will implement care activities per individual care plans, assist with mobility and meals, and help maintain a clean and safe environment.

The role emphasizes building positive relationships with residents, families and staff, supporting social activities, and respecting residents’ privacy. Experience in care settings is beneficial; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Carry out care activities in accordance with person centred care plan for all residents.
• Assist residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at mealtimes.
• Support access to communal areas and bedrooms at residents' requests.
• Assist with meal and beverage service and encourage feeding as required.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family, visitors and colleagues.

• Contribute to the creation and development of effective person centred care plans.
• Ensure bedroom areas are kept tidy, pleasant and comfortable by making beds and regularly changing bed linen.
• Empty commodes and ensure the regular cleaning of equipment involved in personal care of residents, including commodes and wheelchairs.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family, visitors and colleagues.
• Support residents in social activities and maintain privacy of their bedrooms on request.

Job description

The key responsibilities of our Care Assistants include:

Carry out care activities in accordance with person centred care plan for all residents

Provide assistance as necessary to residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at mealtimes and other communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.

Provide assistance to serve meals and beverages, encouraging and assisting in the feeding of residents as per their requirements.

Contribute to the creation and development of effective person centred care plans.

Ensure bedroom areas are kept tidy, pleasant and comfortable by making beds, regularly changing bed linen and emptying commodes.

Ensure the regular cleaning of equipment involved in personal care of residents, including commodes and wheelchairs.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family, visitors and colleagues
