Job summary

Kids Planet Farnham is seeking a Third in Charge on a fixed-term maternity contract to join a values-led team. You’ll get involved in day-to-day nursery operations, supporting management to ensure high-quality care in line with EYFS and a nurturing environment for children.

The role requires Level 3 early years qualification, strong EYFS understanding, safeguarding knowledge, and leadership within a nursery.

Qualifications

• Must be Level 3 qualified in UK recognised early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.

Responsibilities

• Support the management team in day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality care in line with the EYFS.
• Lead and support teams, maintaining a positive, collaborative, and professional environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children and families, supporting development and wellbeing in an inclusive setting.

How you’ll make a difference as a Third in Charge:

What a Third in Charge needs:

Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.

Excellent understanding of EYFS.

Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.

Leadership experience within a nursery setting.
