Job summary

Cards for Good Causes is the UK’s largest multi-charity Christmas retailer, operating seasonal shops across the UK. We are seeking enthusiastic and organised part-time Shop Managers to join us for the 2026 Christmas season.

This flexible role involves leading a team of volunteers, delivering great customer service, and promoting the shop within the local community. Prior retail or charity experience is advantageous but the right attitude and people skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team of volunteers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to keep stakeholders informed.
• Good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with venue, volunteers and Regional Manager.
• Commercial awareness and ability to help drive sales.
• Enthusiasm for promoting the shop within the local community.
• Confidence engaging with local organisations to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a seasonal shop during the Christmas period October–December 2026.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of volunteers.
• Promote the shop within the local community and build relationships with local organisations.
• Maintain shop presentation, stock and cash handling during the trading period.
• Work collaboratively with the venue and Regional Manager to meet targets.

In the last 10 years, Cards for Good Causes has given £19.4 million to charities and good causes.

Every Christmas, we open a network of seasonal shops across the UK, supported by our fantastic Shop Managers and volunteers. Our shops operate for a relatively short but very important trading period, and our teams play a key role in helping us raise as much money as possible for the charities and good causes we support.

We are now looking for enthusiastic and organised part-time Shop Managers to join our team for the 2026 Christmas season.

Our shops can be managed by more than one Shop Manager, making this a great seasonal opportunity for candidates looking for flexible part-time work.

• Can respond positively to the changing needs of a busy seasonal shop
• Shares our passion for supporting charities and good causes

Previous retail or charity experience would be an advantage, but just as important is having the right attitude, enthusiasm and ability to work with people.
