Job summary

Community Careline Services (Bexley) LTD is seeking a dedicated support worker to help with personal care, including washing and dressing, and to provide companionship and emotional support to service users.

You will assist with meal preparation, mobility and day-to-day activities, observe health changes, follow care plans and document care accurately, and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals while ensuring safeguarding and infection-control procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Support service users with personal care, including washing, dressing and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding where required.
• Support with medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures.
• Assist service users with mobility and day-to-day activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support service users with shopping, appointments and community activities.
• Follow individual care plans and record care provided accurately.
• Observe and report any changes in a service user’s health or wellbeing.
• Promote independence, dignity, privacy and choice.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Work closely with families, healthcare professionals and other members of the care team.
• Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety and infection-control procedures.
