Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a primary school in Dartford. This role is ideal for graduates aiming to gain classroom experience and progress into teacher training.

You'll work 1:1 or in small groups, assist with differentiated activities, help create an inclusive classroom, and support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs within a structured SEN programme.

Qualifications

Teaching Assistant / Graduate Teaching Assistant - Dartford

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and development of pupils with additional needs.

This role is ideal for a graduate with a keen interest in teaching and gaining classroom experience, with the ambition to progress into teacher training. We’re working with schools to place graduates into classroom-based support roles where they can gain real, hands-on experience either supporting SEND pupils or delivering targeted interventions. This is a great pathway into teaching and can significantly strengthen future applications for teacher training.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum
• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions
• Helping to create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive

• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their potential
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
