Job summary

HR GO Recruitment in Crewe is seeking a hands-on production worker to manufacture paste and powder products, following formulations for customer orders. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, and you will weigh ingredients and monitor batch records.

This role runs Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm (24 hours initially increasing to 40 hours), paying £13-13.75 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to quality control and continuous improvement while working in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment (mixing preferred).
• Confident weighing ingredients and following recipes, formulas, or batch instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of workload.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable with repetitive tasks.
• Health & Safety training/qualification.
• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, feed, supplement, or similar manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to specified formulations/tolerances
• Prepare, mix and blend powder mixes and paste formulations in line with work instructions
• Follow batch records, production schedules and SOPs to ensure consistent output
• Monitor quality during production and report any deviations or issues promptly
• Complete production paperwork accurately (e.g., batch sheets, checks, traceability records)
• Maintain a clean, organised work area to required hygiene and Health & Safety standards
• Handle materials safely and use equipment correctly, reporting defects/faults
• Work independently to meet daily targets and deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working where appropriate
