Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a Production Operative in Crewe. The role involves hands-on production of paste and powder products, weighing ingredients to exact formulations and following batch records with strict attention to hygiene and safety.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with initial hours at 24 per week rising to 40. The position requires reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently on repetitive tasks in a busy factory environment.

• Health & Safety training/qualification.
• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, feed, supplement, or similar manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to specified formulations/tolerances.
• Prepare, mix and blend powder mixes and paste formulations in line with work instructions.
• Follow batch records, production schedules and SOPs to ensure consistent output.
• Monitor quality during production and report any deviations or issues promptly.
• Complete production paperwork accurately (e.g., batch sheets, checks, traceability records).
• Maintain a clean, organised work area to required hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
• Handle materials safely and use equipment correctly, reporting defects/faults.
• Work independently to meet daily targets and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working where appropriate.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm (24 hours initially increasing to 40 hours)
