EF03/07/KE4 Personal Assistant / Care Assistant

8 to 9 hours per week worked over a Tuesday or Thursday and every Friday.

Start time is flexible (Friday must be in the morning) and can be worked around school hours if needed. To be discussed and agreed at interview.

About the employer

The Employer is a lady living in her home in Corby. A personal assistant is sought to support her continued independent life.

Main Duties
  • Support with shopping trips and accessing the community, therefore a full driving licence and use of a reliable car is essential. You must also have business cover on your motor insurance policy (proof is required). Mileage will be paid, minus the commute.
  • General light household duties (dusting, vacuuming, washing up, laundry etc.)
  • Some pet care required for the Employer’s six, caged, pet rats.
  • Some personal care required – assisting the Employer to dress/change.
  • Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant.
Additional employment information

The successful applicant will be friendly and able to give empathetic support, while respecting the employer’s independence but also able to take instruction.

Must be flexible, trustworthy and active with a good sense of humour.

Please note you will be directly employed by the person (or their representative) that you will be assisting. The Council is not the employer.
