Job summary

Fawkes & Reece in Canterbury is seeking a Groundworker to join a reputable civil engineering team. The role covers trench work, duct laying and backfill, with duties extending to utility main laying, kerbs and basic landscaping.

You will work as part of a small team or independently, with a strong emphasis on health and safety. A CSCS card is required along with relevant civil engineering experience.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working within the civil engineering space.
• You will need a current and valid CSCS card or CPCS / NPORS CSCS.
• Any of the following qualifications would be an additional benefit; abrasive wheels, manual handling, street works, first aid etc….

Responsibilities

• Trench work and duct laying as part of civil-engineering installations.
• Backfill and reinstatement work to required standards.
• Utility main laying, kerbs and landscaping tasks as directed.
• Work on man holes and related civils activities.
