Job summary

Sexey’s School is seeking an innovative and exceptional Teacher of Religious Studies to join a supportive team. You will be expected to teach at A Level and across KS3–KS5, contributing to a culture of high achievement and student love of learning.

We welcome both Early Career Teachers and experienced colleagues. The post is 1.0 FTE and permanent, starting January 2027, with closing date noon on 5 October 2026 and safeguarding at the core of our recruitment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Religious Studies teacher with ability to teach at A Level.
  • Experience delivering religious education to secondary students across KS3-KS5.
  • Willingness to contribute to departmental and school-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Religious Studies to KS3–KS5 pupils with engaging lessons.
  • Collaborate with RE department and Trust colleagues to share best practice.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and participate in interview and DBS checks as required.

We are looking for an innovative, inspirational and exceptional Teacher of Religious Studies with the ability to teach at A Level to join our school.

You will join a supportive team with collaborative, respectful colleagues, both within the Religious Education department and the wider school and Trust community, who all aspire to delivering outstanding teaching and sharing best practice. We are looking for a passionate and driven teacher who is dedicated to ensuring every student achieves their full potential and develops a love of learning.

We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers and experienced colleagues. The ability to teach an additional subject(s) would be an advantage.
