Job summary

YourRecruit Ltd is seeking a Trainee Fire Door Inspector to join our growing fire and safety team. This field-based role covers London and surrounding areas; you will visit residential and commercial properties, learn on the job, and work towards professional qualifications.

No prior fire safety experience is required; full training will be provided. You will need a full UK driving licence and strong communication skills to interact with customers and complete inspections to schedule.

What will you be doing?

This is a varied, field-based role where you'll visit residential and commercial properties across London and the surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Testing fire alarm and emergency lighting systems


• Carrying out fire, health and safety checks


• Conducting routine fire door inspections


• Recording findings accurately using a tablet


• Visiting a variety of customer sites


• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers


• Working independently once fully trained


• Managing your workload and completing visits within agreed timescales

You will be representing the business when you are out visiting customers, so being reliable, presentable and confident dealing with people is really important.
