Job summary

ATR Ltd is recruiting Environmental Service Technicians to join our team in Sunderland. You will perform street cleansing duties, including emptying litter and dog bins and clearing litter, waste and fly-tipping, as well as grounds maintenance tasks such as strimming, grass cutting, pruning and planting.

You'll complete routine work using basic tools under supervision and work with others or alone to meet quality standards, while following health and safety requirements and reporting any faults

Qualifications

• Environmental service technician duties require physical stamina and attention to safety.
• Ability to work in a team or independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out street cleansing duties, including emptying litter and dog bins and clearing litter, waste and fly-tipping.
• Undertaking grounds maintenance tasks such as strimming, pedestrian grass cutting, pruning and planting.
• Completing routine, structured operational work using basic tools and equipment under general supervision.
• Working as part of a team or independently to a set routine, meeting standards of accuracy and quality.
• Following health and safety requirements and adapting to local site circumstances
• Carrying out pre-use equipment checks and reporting or rectifying any faults found in tools or equipment.
• Recording completed tasks accurately and promptly, escalating any issues or on-site problems to the Team Leader.
