Avery Healthcare Group in Bracknell is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Asbury Manor Care Home to support activities that enrich residents’ physical, cognitive and social well-being.

You will work with the Wellbeing Coordinator, engaging residents in meaningful activities, while helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment and building links with the local community. DBS disclosure is required, and eligibility to work in the UK must be demonstrated.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to interact effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience and respect towards older adults.
  • Experience working with older people in residential or dementia settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities for residents.
  • Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold the home’s professional image.
  • Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
  • Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities and foster community links.

Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Asbury Manor Care Home in Bracknell.


ABOUT THE ROLE

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to


support


the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.


Other responsibilitieswillinclude:


  • Maintaininga safe living and working environment,contributing to the positive and professional image of thehome.
  • Reporting any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
  • Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
  • Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.
