Job summary

Royal Mail in Bolton is seeking Post Person with Driving to join our team on a temporary basis. You will deliver letters and parcels across your local area, mainly by van, with some walking on foot as part of your route.

A full manual UK driving licence is required, along with the stamina to walk up to 20,000 steps daily and lift mail bags up to 16kg. Shifts vary, and flexibility is essential to cover peak periods.

What We're Looking For

Driving Licence

Your Role

As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Important to Know

While large parts of the role involves walking, driving a Royal Mail delivery van is also a key requirement. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day. Please note: you'll be required to pass a driving assessment when you start.

Pay & Shifts

The below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

• Dawn Shift - STARTS BETWEEN 0201 - 0400 - £14.61
• Early 0500 - STARTS BETWEEN 0401 - 0500 - £14.61
• Early 0530 - STARTS BETWEEN 0501 - 0530 - £14.61

While this is a temporary role, there may be potential for it to become permanent.
