Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Delivery Driver for the Bathgate Delivery Office. As a Post Person with Driving, you will drive a Royal Mail van around your delivery area, delivering letters and parcels and providing excellent service in all weather.

Applicants must hold a full, manual UK driving licence with up to six points, be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps a day, and be flexible to shift changes. The role offers competitive pay and the chance to work in a community-focused environment.

What We're Looking For

Your Role

As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Important to Know

While large parts of the role involves walking, driving a Royal Mail delivery van is also a key requirement. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day. Please note: you'll be required to pass a driving assessment when you start.

Pay & Shifts

The below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

• Dawn Shift - STARTS BETWEEN 0201 - 0400 - £14.61
• Early 0500 - STARTS BETWEEN 0401 - 0500 - £14.61
• Early 0530 - STARTS BETWEEN 0501 - 0530 - £14.61

While this is a temporary role, there may be potential for it to become permanent.
