Job summary

Search Consultancy is looking for a fully qualified, time-served Electrician to join a high-intensity commercial/industrial development in Billingham. This role offers high earning potential with 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm) and optional weekend overtime on CIS payroll (£26.00 per hour).

You will perform first and second fix wiring, assist with testing and inspection, read diagrams and project specs, and maintain safety RAMS on a fast-moving site across extended shifts, with reliable availability

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is mandatory.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and AM2 are mandatory.
• ECS Gold Card and valid right to work in the UK are required.

Responsibilities

• First & Second Fix: pulling cables, installing containment, wiring power and lighting.
• Testing & inspection support: dead testing prep and wiring energization readiness.
• Technical compliance: read and follow circuit diagrams, schematics and project specs.
• High output: maintain workmanship on a fast-paced schedule with extended shifts.
• Site safety: adhere to RAMS, isolation protocols and safe operation on elevated platforms.

Search Consultancy is looking for a fully qualified, time-served Electrician to join a high-intensity commercial/industrial development in Billingham. We are partnering with a top-tier M&E contractor who requires skilled sparkies capable of working high-volume hours on a fast-track project.

If you are an Electrician who thrives in a high-earning environment, can deliver clean 1st and 2nd fix installations, and wants to lock in extended 12-hour shifts with optional weekend overtime, we have immediate starts available now.

The Role

First & Second Fix Scope: Pulling cables, installing containment (tray, trunking, conduit), wiring power and lighting, and fitting out commercial/industrial units.

Testing & Inspection Support: Assisting with dead testing, dead lead verification, and preparing installations for final sign-off and energization.

Technical Compliance: Reading, interpreting, and working strictly to circuit diagrams, schematics, and project specifications.

High Output: Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship while keeping up with a fast-paced construction program on extended shifts.

Site Safety: Adhering strictly to RAMS, isolation protocols, and working safely on elevated platforms or scaffolding towers.

Requirements

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), and AM2 are mandatory.

Card / Certification: Valid

ECS Gold Card (Electrician) is required.

Experience: Proven track record in commercial, industrial, or fast-track M&E fit-out projects.

Tools & Testing Kit: Full 110V / cordless tool kit, hand tools, and standard 5-point PPE.

Reliability: Ability to commit to extended 12-hour shifts across the week and weekend work where required.

Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
