Job summary

Co-op Group in the United Kingdom is seeking Customer Team Members for a part-time role in a local Co-op store. You will work a mix of opening shifts from early morning, through mid shifts to late finishes, with at least one weekend shift and regular overtime.

Training is provided to help you settle in quickly and learn the in-store bakery and other services. You will join a friendly team delivering essential store services, stocking shelves, and helping customers throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not essential.
• Comfort with flexible shifts and weekend work.
• Ability to work as part of a friendly team in a busy store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service to customers on the shop floor and at the tills.
• Keep shelves stocked, check prices and stock accuracy, and support daily store operations.
• Work across opening, middle and closing shifts, including weekends, and assist in the bakery or post office as needed.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support local community initiatives.

Job description

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 15 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts from 6am, middle shifts, and closing shifts to 10.15pm. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We're happy to discuss your availability further at interview. Role will include working in our in-store bakery

You must be aged 18 or over to apply for this role as it may involve either, working before 6am or after 10pm, or some other business-related needs.

We're looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op, join us and play a key role in delivering friendly, helpful service in your local Co-op store.

As a Customer Team Member, you'll work as part of a friendly team in a fast-moving Co-op store, helping deliver essential services to your community every day. Depending on your store, this could involve working in our post office, or bakery, or helping with online services by picking and packing orders for home delivery. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.

You'll help keep our shelves stocked and support sales, making sure customers can find what they need. You'll be a familiar face in the community, getting to know your customers and helping us stay connected with local and national charities. What you’ll do:

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and in our in-store bakery, and contribute to daily operations to create a great shopping experience
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy
• Make sure the store safe and legal - keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be
• Promote Co-op Membership and support your local community
