Job summary

Greenacre School is one of the UK’s largest special schools, educating over 300 children and young people aged 3 to 19 with severe and complex learning disabilities. In addition to the main site, the school has satellite classes in local mainstream settings.

As a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant (TA2) at our Barnsley site, you will mainly support teachers by preparing rooms, supporting reading and visual learning, and providing 1:1 or small-group help to pupils throughout the day.

THE ROLE

As a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant (TA2) at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:
