Tesco’s café is hiring a Front of House team member to deliver fast, friendly service to customers and to help keep the cafe inviting. You’ll learn the menu, follow health and safety rules, and support behind-the-scenes operations to ensure a smooth service.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Resolve complaints and relay information to the Café Manager.

• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow operational policies and ensure products are available.
• Keep up-to-date with cafe communications and initiatives.
• Know the menu inside out and serve items as designed.
• Prepare hot and cold drinks for customers.

You will be responsible for

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of Tesco as a business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:

• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Resolving customer complaints and relaying information to the Café Manager.
• Maintaining food freshness by following first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation.
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Knowing our café’s menu inside out and making sure food is served the way it’s intended.
• Preparing hot and cold drinks for customers.

You will need
