Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Bacup is seeking Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role involving repetitive work with foam and fibre to produce and stuff pillows, with a focus on quality and safety.

Duties include stuffing pillows, machine setup, adjusting yarn tension and production speeds, monitoring finished goods quality, and carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance. Shift pattern Thu–Sat, 6:00am–6:30pm (Thu/Fri) and 6:00am–11:30am (Sat).

Qualifications

• Experience operating textile machinery is preferred.
• Ability to follow production specifications and safety rules.
• Willingness to work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Stuffing pillows with foam and fibre.
• Manual handling of materials.
• Operate and set up stockinette knitting machines.
• Adjust machine settings, yarn tension and production speeds.
• Monitor the quality of finished stockinette.
• Identify and resolve basic machine faults.
• Replace needles, yarn and other machine components when required.
• Carry out routine cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
• Follow production specifications and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets.

• Working as part of a busy production team
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Shift Pattern

Thursday: 6:00am - 6:30pm

Friday: 6:00am - 6:30pm

Saturday: 6:00am - 11:30am

Pay: £12.71 per hour
