Job summary

The Housing Network is seeking a Cleaning Operative for weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 4 hours each). You will clean void rooms, maintain common areas, and prepare spaces for new residents, reporting any repairs when needed. • Carry out scheduled cleaning on void rooms to high standards per contract targets.

• Check kitchen and laundry areas are clean and hazard-free.
• Ensure communal areas are hygienic and well maintained.

Working Hours - 4 Hours Saturday, and 4 Hours Sunday (8 Hours Total)

We are the Housing Network (THN), a purpose-led organisation working in partnership with the YMCA to support our communities.

We are in an exciting period of growth and are looking for experienced and passionate people to help us support vulnerable individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out scheduled work on void rooms to bring back up to a high standard and in accordance with the Council's targets prescribed in the contract


• Cleaning of rooms/communal areas as directed, ensuring that all rooms/communal areas are maintained to a high quality standard


• Cleaning void rooms to prepare them for new residents.


• Remove rubbish and dispose of correctly.


• Check kitchen and laundry room appliances are clean and free from hazards and common part areas are free from hazards and are clean as directed regularly


• Ensure that the communal areas are hygienic and well maintained.


• Report any repairs to the maintenance office team.
