Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a General Cleaning Assistant for our Retirement Community at Hillyard House, London. You will keep communal areas, offices and kitchens clean to a high standard and support residents with daily needs while respecting privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• Clean communal areas, offices, and kitchens to a high standard.
• Experience in domestic or catering environments is acceptable.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills understood.
• Basic health and safety awareness in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy.
• Complete cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Report faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving while respecting residents’ privacy.

Skills

Your role

• Keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy


• Complete all cleaning duties to a high standard


• Report any faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment


• Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely


• Help prepare meals and drinks while meeting customers' needs and respecting their privacy and dignity


• Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable)


• Some experience in a domestic or catering environment


• Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or willingness to work towards


• Good interpersonal and customer service skills


• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace
