Job summary

Morgan Hunt are seeking an experienced and reliable Plumber to join our social housing maintenance team. The successful candidate will perform repairs, maintenance and installation works across occupied and void properties, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements.

This is a customer-facing role requiring good communication, a professional manner and the ability to work respectfully in residents' homes.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing or equivalent.
• Gas-related qualifications where relevant to the role.
• Experience with social housing environments and domestic plumbing repairs.
• Water Regulations / Water Byelaws awareness.
• Experience using mobile working or job management systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing faults, leaks, blockages and other issues.
• Repair and replace taps, toilets, sinks, baths, valves, pipes and associated plumbing components.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Complete works in occupied and vacant properties.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
• Identify additional repairs and report any issues requiring further attention.
• Maintain accurate records of completed works using relevant systems or paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and maintain a professional approach at all times.
• Work in accordance with company policies, health and safety procedures and relevant legislation.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles to an appropriate standard.
• Work independently while also supporting the wider maintenance team when required.
• Previous experience working as a plumber.
• Experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
