Job summary

Brook Street Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Antrim for a HGV Class 2 Driver on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key duties include loading/unloading, delivering and collecting goods, daily vehicle checks, and compliance with UK road rules. Hours are 8.30am–6.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £33,205 per year. Newly qualified drivers may be considered subject to insurer approval.

Qualifications

• Experience driving HGVs and completing multi-drop routes.
• Knowledge of delivering across towns and cities in Northern Ireland.
• Ability to plan deliveries and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles with appropriate loads as per paperwork.
• Carry out delivery/collection tasks and stay in contact with Transport office.
• Perform daily/weekly vehicle checks and ensure road-worthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked using Timeware system.
• Comply with HSAW regulations and company directives for driving/warehouse operations.
• Wash and clean vehicles as required and support other transport duties.

Job description

Brook Street Recruitment are working on behalf of our client in Antrim to recruit a HGV Class 2 Driver on a full time and permanent basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Load/unload vehicles with the appropriate loads (as per paperwork generated).
• Carry out delivery/collection tasks as directed.
• Carry out daily/weekly vehicle checks of vehicle road-worthiness.
• Comply with all UK road usage legislation whilst driving on IFS business.
• Carry out driving tasks (i.e., fuelled, booked out and remain in communication with Transport office)
• Accurately maintain records of the hours worked on a daily basis (i.e., through the use of the Company's Timeware system).
• Comply, as reasonably expected, with all company and official H&SAW regulations.
• Comply with all company directives/policies relating to driving/warehouse operations as directed by the Transport/Warehouse Manager.
• Administer appropriate duty of care to all products that pass through the warehouse facility.
• Appropriate tasks/projects as directed by Transport/Warehouse Manager.
• Wash and clean vehicles as operationally required ( vehicles to be washed at least once per week all year round).
• Comply with all company directives/policies relating to road transport operations as directed by the Transport Manager.

Hours of work - 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday (one-hour lunch) or as operationally required.

Salary £33,205 per year
