Ready Steady Go Charity is seeking a friendly Support Worker for a part-time, term-time position to assist autistic children after school in a welcoming environment.

You will help children try new activities, build confidence and develop social skills through crafts, cooking, play and games, encouraging participation and celebrating each achievement.

Job description

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive Support Worker to join our team on a part-time, term-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help autistic children and their siblings feel included, confident and able to have fun during our after-school sessions.

You will play an important role in encouraging children to get involved, try new things and develop their skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Activities may include:

  • Creative crafts and activities
  • Simple food preparation and cooking
  • Play, games and social activities
  • Learning and developing new skills
  • Building confidence, friendships and independence

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can encourage participation without pressure, celebrate each child's achievements and help create a positive space where children can have fun, learn and be themselves.
