Job summary

Monmouthshire County Council is seeking a grounds maintenance operative to maintain public open spaces, verges, planting, schools and contracted sites, ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for communities across the county.

You will work alone or in a team, primarily on grounds maintenance activities, with occasional street services duties such as litter picking to protect local environmental quality.

• Grounds maintenance operatives, either working individually or as a team, will maintain public open space, verges, planting, schools and contracted sites to provide a quality green and sustainable environment.
• The majority of the time the officer will be undertaking grounds maintenance activities. However, you will be required at times to work as part of a street services team, maintaining local environmental quality which includes litter picking.
