Reactive Maintenance Team Leader

Job Description

We are a growing provider of construction and refurbishment services, seeking a dedicated and professional Reactive Maintenance Team Leader to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of our reactive maintenance office, ensuring smooth team functionality and the successful delivery of services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily running of the office, providing guidance and support to the team.
  2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met.
  3. Act as the point of escalation for both office and client concerns.
  4. Manage and oversee the work-in-progress (WIP) schedule effectively.
  5. Train and onboard new team members.
  6. Develop and implement new processes to enhance team efficiency.
  7. Conduct regular team meetings to review priorities, updates, and safety procedures.
  8. Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues.
  9. Ensure the monthly invoicing target is achieved.
  10. Attend client meetings via Teams or in person when required.
  11. Assist in sourcing operatives and subcontractors when necessary.
  12. Thrive under pressure in a busy, reactive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar team leader or supervisory role within the reactive maintenance or construction sector.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of the construction and maintenance industry, including public sector systems and processes, is an advantage.
  • A proactive approach to team management and problem resolution.
