As a React Full Stack Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Securities Services Instruction Capture team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities
  • Execute standard software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot
  • Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Utilize tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to improve automation and value
  • Apply technical troubleshooting to resolve basic complexity problems
  • Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making for secure, stable application development
  • Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for secure and stable code development
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practical experience
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience coding in modern programming languages and database querying in a large corporate environment
  • Proficiency in Java and React Framework
  • Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Exposure to agile methodologies like CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
  • Emerging knowledge of software applications in disciplines such as cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile, etc.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), including async/await, promises, modules, HTML, and CSS
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
  • Understanding of ADA compliance and accessibility standards
