Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a UI/UX-focused developer to implement and maintain responsive user interfaces using React.js, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You will work closely with product managers and design teams to translate complex financial and climate risk requirements into intuitive, accessible designs.

Ideal candidates have strong UX experience, proficiency with Figma and design systems, and a proven track record delivering production-ready code in agile settings.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience developing production-level code.
• UI and visual design for modern web applications.
• Proven hands-on UX design and implementation.
• Proficiency in Figma components, prototyping and design systems.
• Keen eye for visual hierarchy, accessibility and responsive design.
• Comfort working in agile, cross-functional teams with designers, developers and product managers.
• Proactive stakeholder management and ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Data visualisation designs and data-centric UX experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React.js, Material UI, HTML, and CSS, ensuring seamless integration of design and functionality.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to ensure designs are implemented with precision, performance and usability.
• Partner with Product Managers to understand complex requirements in financial and climate risk domains and translate them into intuitive user-focused designs.
• Balance visual appeal with usability by following design principles and ensuring consistency across the platform.
• Continuously refine user experience by incorporating feedback and staying updated on UX best practices.
